LONG LIVE THE KANE!
We are back in effect no doubt! (a little old school lingo for ya) Yes THE ZRO HOUR has arisen from its slumber and so much has happened in our absence. From the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina to the VH1 Hip Hop Honors and in between. This last quarter of the fiscal music year looks to be shaping up very strong as we await a slew of new releases from veterans and new jacks alike. The Roots are now signed to Def Jam Left, Kanye West stands up to George Bush, and Jay-Z is readying another concert. Speaking of Jay, be on the look out for him to grace the cover of FORTUNE magazine- DAMMNNN!
This show is actually a gem. Many of you slept on DJ AMBUSH’s KILLA RIDDIMZ CD so I wanted to present that as sort of a pre-show. We will be back in 2 weeks with an official jump off like we usually do so stay tuned. The VH1 Hip Hop Honors was incredibly dope and brought back the full wave of memories of an era that will reign supreme. LL COOL J, GRANDMASTER FLASH & THE FURIOUS 5, SALT & PEPA and KANE himself destroyed it! Kane is my personal favorite and strongest influence when it comes to MCs (equally with KRS ONE). In our exclusives section we have a classic battle between Kane and a Philly MC named Jazz Fresh. It’s a live performance with BIZ MARKIE and COOL V on the wheels. Shout out to MISTER K from South London on that one! Check the new JOE BUDDEN track that proves his storytelling prowess. Courtesy of FULLY LOADED RECORDS we have a joint from GUTTA feat. TRAGIC. Straight from Houston K-OTIX weighs in on the whole Bush administration Hurricane Katrina debacle. I hear some parts of the country are playing it while others have ignored it-they sum it up for me…
Lastly, be on the lookout for this project above. Two of the greatest in hip hop join forces for a crazy CD project.
