COLLECTIBLES: MICHAEL JACKSON "Bad" Figure by Hot Toys





HOT TOYS have outdone themselves again. After releasing two, 12" fully articulated Michael Jackson figures last year ("Thriller" and "Billie Jean" versions) they have announced the upcoming "Bad" version.

The 1/6th scale Michael Jackson (Bad version) collectible specially features:

- Authentic and detailed fully realized likeness of Michael Jackson in the Bad music video
- Newly developed head sculpt with new make-up
- Parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS) and colored Translucent Iris
- Multi-layered stereoscopic hair sculpture
- Slim version of TrueType body with 38 points of articulation
- Approximately 30 cm tall
- One (1) pair of punches, five (5) additional right and two (2) extra left interchangeable and posing palms
- Each piece of head sculpt is specially hand-painted

Costume:
- Two (2) sets of costumes (one (1) set for Bad version and one (1) set of upper outfit in Dirty Diana image)
- Bad costume:
+ Black jacket with buckles, zips and pouches as accessories
+ Black and white tees
+ Black pants with buckles and a red stripe on the left
+ Four (4) belts with buckles (three (3) in black and one (1) in brown)
+ One (1) pair of black shoes with buckles
+ Nine (9) pieces of black gloves with buckles (six (6) for right hands, three (3) for left hands) (right gloves with rivets added)
- Dirty Diana costume:
+ A set of white shirt and tee

UPDATE: Spike Lee's Birthday Party Tribute to Michael Jackson Moved to Prospect Park


Spike Lee's birthday party tribute to Michael Jackson on Saturday, August 29th has been moved to Nethermead Meadow in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. Originally slated for Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn, it likely had to be moved due to a larger than expected turnout. News on this day of music and celebration appeared all over the mainstream media. The Brooklyn borough president, Marty Markowitz, will be on hand to declare Aug. 29 “Michael Jackson Day.

SPIKE LEE Plans Brooklyn Block Party To Celebrate Michael Jackson


BK stand up! Filmmaker Spike Leeis throwing a block party in Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn, New York to celebrate the life of Michael Jackson. The event coincides with Michael's birthday, August 29th. Event starts at noon till 5pm with the one and only DJ Spinna on the wheels dropping all things Michael-solo, Jacksons and The Jackson 5. Come out and vibe!

COLLECTIBLES: MICHAEL JACKSON "Thriller" Figure by Hot Toys




HOT TOYS released images of their newest collectible figure in their M-ICON collection- Michael Jackson's "Thriller". Hot Toys is known for their work creating action figures of some of the most iconic characters in science fiction/fantasy films, celebrities and musicians. Their figures are extremely detailed in their facial appearance, clothing and accessories. The release of the "Thriller" version of Michael Jackson brings the iconic look and characterization of MJ made famous in the classic 1983 short film/music video. This is the second version of Michael Jackson from Hot Toys, the first being the "Billie Jean/History tour" version. The Michael Jackson - Thriller collectible features:

- Hot Toys’ slim version TrueType body, over 32 points of articulation, stands approximately 30 cm high
- 2 interchangeable heads – MJ head and Zombie head
- 2 sets of costumes ( original red jacket and pants & the zombie suit)
- 2 sets of white socks with black shoes
- Five (5) sets of interchangeable hands and one (1) additional posing right hand
- 12 inches figure stand with the classic Thriller title and Michael Jackson nameplate

The figure retails for $189 at this seller and may be hard to find at that price for long due to the demand for MJ collectibles since his death.

VIDEO: CYMARSHALL LAW- "R.I.P. Michael Jackson"




CYMARSHALL LAW drops a heartfelt tribute to the legend with whom he shares a birthday. He rocks over Madcon's instrumental of "Beggin'". Cymarshall Law states, "I started writing this yesterday a few minutes after the word became official I wasnt going to put it out it was for me , but I woke up and listened to what I had made yesterday and felt I should share it with the world because there are so many people who can relate , Me and Michael had the same birthday so I always felt I could be great like him too he was a big inspiration on my life. So I made this song I was full of emotion and my pen was pretty much moving without me doing any thinking".

Beloved Superstar Michael Jackson Dies At 50


The Greatest Entertainer in the World has died due to cardiac arrest early this evening. Michael, we will always love and remember your musical legacy. 50 years old is too young and his life was taken too suddenly. There are not many words to add. It is almost difficult to comprehend the loss of someone of his stature and cultural influence..


For now, I am going to pump Rhymefest's tribute to Michael Jackson- Man In The Mirror:
