Feds Shut Down File Sharing Site MEGAUPLOAD...and The CEO Is SWIZZ BEATZ???

 

Multi-Platinum producer/rapper Swizz Beatz (Kasseem Dean) was revealed to be the CEO of MEGAUPLOAD, one of the internet's largest file sharing websites, after news broke yesterday that the Justice Department of the United States seized $50 million dollars in assets and shut down the site. Megaupload boasted over 50 million visitors daily and may have had up to 150 million registered users. Indictments from the grand jury accuse seven of Megaupload's operators (including former CEO Kim Dotcom) of racketeering conspiracy, conspiracy to commit copyright infringement and other charges. Swizz Beats was not among those indicted. Swizz may be a recent player within Megaupload and more information is forthcoming. Swizz beats is married to R&B singer/songwriter Alicia Keys. Everybody is talking about Sunday's VMA awards and not just about Kanye. Rapper Lil Mama was the subject of scorn for crashing the end of jay-Z's closing performance. In the above video, she describes being caught up in the moment and wanted to rep Brooklyn and celebrate Jay-Z.
