R.I.P. to an absolute emcee. Guru is one of the greats and almost every head I know is a deep fan of his music. Although he and DJ Premier fell apart, their work together will serve as a blueprint for authenticity in hip hop. I am not at a loss for words over his death but I am mourning with all those who were hypnotized by his monotone flow. 43 years is way too young to expire but his legacy will remain far longer.
