R.I.P. DJ AM

DJ AM, real name Adam Goldstein, was found dead in his New York City apartment yesterday afternoon. Details of his death are forthcoming. Friends became concerned after they had not heard from DJ AM in several days. and alerted the authorities, DJ AM was a recovering addict who claimed to have been sober for a couple of years. Police reported that drug paraphernalia was found in the apartment. DJ AM was considered one of the most successful "celebrity" DJs who gained a wide audience due to his "mash ups" of genre records and eclectic musical choices. He was known as the "DJ's favorite DJ".
